What is a Convening?
As a part of the Human Capacity & Community Transformation grant, a key deliverable is for the RPIC is a regional event that highlights community activities, strategies, partnerships, and best practice models. All are welcome!
The convening will bring together leaders from the Community Action network to discuss how new practices and partnerships are transforming local communities and helping families build resiliency.
Feature initiatives from local CAAs in Region 3 were selected by the Center of Excellence at the National Community Action Partnership to be shared. Don't miss this opportunity to connect and learn.
Who Should Attend?
This event is a great resource for community managers, program managers, board members, RPIC Lead Organization o State Associations (teams relevant to the HCCT Grant), State CSBG Office Staff, Local CAA Members from COE Steering Committee in the region, Highlighted Initiative CAA Staff, CAA staff from across the region.

How Were Initiatives Selected?
- Met 90% or more of Organizational Standards.
- The initiative has clearly identified the local need it addresses.
- CSBG funds have clearly been used for some purpose, at some point, in the implementation of the initiative.
- The initiative has a transformative impact related to the causes and/or conditions of poverty at a community level.
- These are efforts that move individuals, families, and communities toward improving human capacity, reducing dependency and sustaining self-sufficiency.
- The initiative is clearly based on data/evidence that demonstrate its impact.
The Goal
Our purpose for the convening is to share information from these highlighted initiatives and the lessons they have learned as a way to encourage other agencies with similarly-identified needs and resources to replicate the initiative and expect to have similar results.
